So a while ago, while Miranda and I were walking through the mall, I signed up to win a free car in one of those drawing things. We didn't win a car, but I got a call yesterday saying that if I went and listened to a timeshare sales pitch for an hour and a half, that we'd get to go on a vacation to Las Vegas or Anaheim. So we decided to do it. We'll go on Saturday and then we'll plan our vacation for August after Miranda graduates. We'll go to Anaheim and try to go to Disneyland or something. Really the only cost will be taxes, food for like a day, and a rental car or something like that. Not too bad for free airfare and two nights in a hotel.
So Dad is going to Toronto, eh ("Toronno, a")? I'm jealous. Can you take me with you? I lived on Dixie and Dundas. I'm not sure where 4700 is, though, but I'm sure I've been there. Remember that referral you gave me when you had worked with someone from Mississauga? Well, we went there, but nothing came of it. Are you going to go to church there? I think you should. There are several people that would even feed you. How long are you going to be there?
It is sad about Jared Johnson. I actually got a random letter from him the other day. I never expected to get a letter from a federal prison. The letter was positive, though, and it seems like he makes good use of his time. I'll have to send him an email.
Anyway, I'm out for now. Back to work.

Mom and I are talking about making this trip a little vacation back to Niagara Falls, without the kids. I will only be there for one day unless Mom goes then we will spend the weekend. Jared you didn't tell me if any of those areas are unsafe so I'm assuming since the missionaries lived there it is.
Just in case you are interested the KC Royals beat the world champion St. Louis Cardinals 8 to 1 yesterday. The 1 run was a 9th inning home run so it was almost a shut out. YOU SHOULD BE PROUD TO BE ROYAL FANS
Well, this is mom, and unfortunately the game the next night was almost an exact flip flop of the first one. The Royals got SHUT OUT by the Cardinals :( Oh well, we're still die hard fans, and as Paul says, one day they'll be good!
Yes, Jared, we got a letter from Jared Johnson as well. He can now get email, so I sent him one this morning. I just think it's really important that he knows that people still care about him.
We haven't finalized any trip plans to Toronto, but I'm kind of excited to go back to Niagra Falls. One of my favorite places in the whole world!! Of course, when you consider what a world traveler I am (NOT), I guess that's not saying much! It would be fun if Jared could go with us to show us around and introduce us to people. Yes, we'll go to church there since we'll be there over the weekend.
All is well on the home front. I'm enjoying my summer off...probably too much. However, I am teaching several extra classes, and that's taking its toll. I need to cut back so I can train for the half marathon this fall. If Chad or Miranda have any training (eating) tips, I'd like to hear them...please???
